Terms of Service
Effective July 8, 2026
These terms cover the Ink & Syntax website, the free carousel builder, and anything else on this domain. Read the whole thing — it's short. By using this site, you confirm you're at least 18, or using it under a parent or guardian's supervision, and able to enter into a contract.

Ink & Syntax is a US-based, sole-proprietor AI studio. You can reach us at hello@inkandsyntax.com.
The free builder
The carousel builder is free to use, provided as-is, for making your own content. Whatever you create with it is yours. Don't use it to make content that's unlawful or infringes on someone else's rights.
Our services
Consulting work and custom tool builds aren't covered by these terms — each engagement runs on its own written agreement that we put together with you before any work starts.
Intellectual property
The site, the free builder, and the tools behind them are ours — the code, design, and content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Anything you make with them — your carousels, your copy, your photos — is yours.
You're welcome to use the site and the free builder for your own personal or business purposes. What you can't do: copy, republish, or redistribute the site's content or code, scrape or bulk-harvest it (including for training data), or pass any of it off as your own. Ordinary browser caching from normal viewing is fine — that's just how browsers work.
Acceptable use
Use the site and the free builder the way they're meant to be used: to build your own content. In particular, don't:
- Use them for anything unlawful, or for content that infringes someone else's rights
- Impersonate Ink & Syntax, our people, or anyone else
- Interfere with, overburden, or disrupt the site or its infrastructure
- Scrape, crawl, or run bots against the site without our consent
- Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Attempt unauthorized access to the site or its systems, or launch a denial-of-service attack
Reliance on information
Everything on this site — including anything the free builder helps you write — is general information, not professional advice (legal, financial, or otherwise). We try to keep it accurate, but we don't warrant it. Any reliance you place on it is at your own risk.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, email hello@inkandsyntax.com with your signature, identification of the copyrighted work and the infringing material, your contact information, and a statement — made in good faith and under penalty of perjury — that the use isn't authorized and that your notice is accurate. We'll review and respond as required under the DMCA.
Accessing the site
We can change, restrict, or take down the site — in whole or in part — at any time, without notice and without liability to you.
Ink & Syntax operates from the United States, and this site is intended for people in the US. If you're accessing it from elsewhere, you're responsible for complying with your local laws.
No warranties
It's a free tool run by one person — treat it accordingly.
THE SITE AND THE FREE BUILDER ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE OR THE FREE BUILDER WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. WE DO NOT PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL ADVICE THROUGH THE SITE OR ANY CONTENT ON IT, AND WE DISCLAIM ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR RELIANCE PLACED ON IT.
Limitation of liability
TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR THE FREE BUILDER, HOWEVER CAUSED AND UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE FEES YOU'VE PAID US. THIS DOES NOT AFFECT ANY LIABILITY WHICH CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your violation of these terms or your use of the site or the free builder.
Force majeure
We're not liable for delays or failures caused by anything reasonably outside our control — natural disasters, internet or power outages, government action, and similar events.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or related to these terms or the site will be brought exclusively in the state and federal courts located in South Carolina, and you agree not to object to jurisdiction or venue there.
Successors, entire agreement & waiver
These terms bind and benefit both of us and our respective successors. Together with our Privacy Policy, they're the entire agreement between us about the site, and they replace any earlier agreements or understandings on the subject. If we don't enforce a provision, that's not a waiver of it — and if any provision turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of these terms still stand.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site changes. Continuing to use the site after we do means you accept the changes, so check back occasionally. We'll update the effective date above when we do, and flag anything major.
